Compensation Changes for Investment Professionals?

Welcome to the first Thelander Digest, our monthly newsletter where we explore compensation insights for investment firms. Each month we’ll bring you an exclusive look at the compensation landscape within different areas of the private capital market. First up, how has compensation changed YoY for investment professionals?

Thelander data indicates:

  • Since 2017, the median cash and carried interest percentages has increased for senior roles such as Managing Director / Partner and Senior Managing Director.
  • Junior roles have remained fairly stable on cash, but have generally gone down in carried interest.
  • Firms with $1Billion+ in total assets under management (AUM) pay a premium.
  • There has been an increase in respondents reporting $1Billion+ total AUM – so much so that we have expanded our options in the Investment Firm Compensation Survey.

Do you want to find this data on other investment professionals? You can access this and many other topics for FREE by participating in our Investment Firm Compensation Survey
